503 Premium Rosé Wine
Premium Rosé wines
You may be wondering, "What makes a Premium Rosé wine?". For quite a long time, Rosé had been perceived as a more seasonal and less sophisticated drink than the more classic, red and white wines. However, it does not mean that Rosé wines have lesser quality. Rosé wines simply have a shorter maceration time to gain their characteristic pink hue. The aging potential of Rosé is similar to that of red wines; lighter than red but no less rich in flavor and aromas.
Rosé is made as a simple, fresh, and easy-to-drink wine and that accounts for most of its success in recent years. At Born Rosé Barcelona, we want to keep in mind that our Rosé is also a top-class premium wine. We believe that the wine world can be more laid-back and fun, and we don't compromise quality to do so. In fact, our 503 Premium Rosé wine is probably the best in Spain made with 100% organic grapes and natural fermentation.
Is color an indicator of quality for Premium Rosé wine?
Although color is not an indication of the quality of a Premium Rosé wine, we can all agree that pink tonalities found in Rosé are an expression of something delicate, relaxing and positive.
Three different styles of Premium Rosé wine?
Everything starts with the grape variety and vineyard selection. Rosé is a complex wine category that can go from very dry to very sweet wines, and can also be produced from different grape varieties. However, when talking about Premium Rosé wine, it can be classified into three different styles.
The first is characterized for being bottled soon after fermentation. This is done to preserve the fruit’s natural flavors and balance with minimum filtration. This is the style of our 503 Premium Rosé wine, produced with the Charmat method, a process that takes place in closed steel tanks at low temperatures and controlled pressure. The resulting wine preserves the natural essence of the fruit with high aromatic complexity and intensity.
The second style of Premium Rosé wine acquires complexity after aging in oak barrels and improves with time after bottling. Popular grape varieties used in this style are tempranillo and grenache. As for the third style of Premium Rosé wine, they are bottled after long interaction with fine lees. This helps to preserve the fruit flavors while providing different complexities.
