BR Brut: the real star this Sant Jordi
If there is one special day in Barcelona, ROSÉ lover, it is Sant Jordi. If you have been lucky enough to be in the city on this day, you will have been captivated by the atmosphere, the amount of roses and books and the fantastic decorations covering the city's most iconic buildings.
Without a doubt, it is a family day, where you endlessly meander through the streets, groups of friends get together, and surprises follow one after the other. A new book! So at BORN ROSÉ we had to join in the fun and as well as launching a special pack to commemorate the day, we are going to recommend some classic, essential and modern books to pair with your favourite ROSÉ. Here they are:
Nada and BORN ROSÉ Barcelona (Carmen Laforet. 1945) A sip full of a thousand nuances is the perfect accompaniment to the first work by this writer from Barcelona. If you want to immerse yourself in the life of Andrea, a young girl who comes to Barcelona to study and who soon realises the differences between how she sees the world and her grandmother's ideas, then this novel is for you. (Incidentally, this work was the winner of the first edition of the Nadal Prize in 1945).
DUNE(Frank Herbert.1965) and BORN ROSÉ Brut: There is nothing better than bubbles to talk about stars, far-flung galaxies and a story that begins more than 10,000 years into the future. If you haven't seen the film adaptation yet, you're in luck. We recommend you start with this science fiction novel, which is part of a fascinating trilogy.
Murder on the Orient Express and 503 BORN ROSÉ Barcelona (Agatha Christie. 1934 ). A classic among classics and an excellent read that would go perfectly with our most gastronomic ROSÉ. The most popular novel of the detective Hercule Poirot, set in the exotic city of Istanbul. If you still don't know the story that takes place in the most famous carriage of all times, now is your chance.
Sounds Like Love (Elísabet Benavent. 2018) and canned ROSÉ: Benavent tells the life story of a group of friends where everyday stories and thousands of experiences intertwine. These tales from the author are a perfect match for our ROSÉ on the go. A great, fresh novel that is part of the Songs and Memories duology.

If you are going to be in the centre of Barcelona on the 23rd, we suggest you take part in the tasting which we will also be attending. Also, the best part is that we will be at the iconic Palau Robert from 12pm to 8pm for a very special reason. ROSÉ lover, this month we have received a medal that we are so excited about. Our BORN ROSÉ Brut has been awarded the Super Gold Medal for Best Sparkling ROSÉ, made using the Charmat method and given by the Barcelona Rosé International Bubbles Awards. So proud!
